What are your New Year’s Resolutions? Mine are to be more Faithful to Jesus, and to not drink soda for another year! January 1st is a very important day, for right now it celebrates the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016.
The concept of New Year’s Day was first celebrated in Mesopotamia around 2000 B.C. January 1’st only became New Year’s Day when the Gregorian Calendar was adopted; The Julian Calendar suggested that it was on what is now March 25th.
What are you looking for in this New Year, an unwritten and so-far unlived book of life, trials, and opportunity? The Ball in Times Square dropped yet again (I watched it do so), and 2016 is now here, so I say this:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
